Katrina Lloyd has been editor-in-chief of Investment Week, Professional Adviser and Cover since December 2019. Previously, she was editor of Investment Week for eight years and editor of sister titles ifaonline.co.uk and Professional Adviser magazine (now combined into www.professionaladviser.com). Katrina started her journalism career at fundstrategy magazine
Thomas has more than 30 years’ experience in asset and wealth management, including positions as Head of Global Fund Distribution at Fortis Investments and Managing Director Investment Management with Barclays Wealth. He most recently advised investment firms on strategy, marketing and organisation including Embark Group in the development of Embark’s investment activities.
Paul is Senior Business Development Manager at EV and works closely with professional financial advisers to help them deliver consistent outcomes for their clients. Previously National Sales Manager at FE fundinfo, Paul has over 10 years’ of financial services experience helping firms build robust investment propositions. He has delivered projects working with Networks & Nationals, Consolidators, and Intermediaries as well as developing new mechanisms to help facilitate relationships between Asset Managers and their clients. Paul is certified in Discretionary Investment Management through the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Alex Lyle is Head of Managed Funds, EMEA. In this role he takes responsibility for a large number of the company’s managed funds, is a member of the Asset Allocation Committee and is a key investment contact between the company and a number of its major clients.
He joined the company in 1994 and was appointed Joint Head of UK / European Equity teams in 1999 and became Head of Managed Funds in 2003.
Alex started his career at Hambros Bank’s1 Unit Trust Division, which was acquired by Allied Dunbar2 in 1981 and subsequently became part of Threadneedle Asset Management Limited in 1994. He managed UK equity portfolios for more than 20 years. He has a degree in Geography from Oxford University.
Duncan has been in financial services for over 16 years, with the foundations of his training beginning with HSBC Bank. Within the bank, he progressed from being a mortgage adviser to developing his knowledge and becoming a financial adviser. In August 2012, regulation changes forced him to leave the bank, so he became a self-employed Independent Financial Adviser. Following professional development, experience and knowledge, Duncan decided to make the next step in his career to set up his own Independent Financial Adviser firm, Meriden Financial Planning. Meriden Financial Planning is led by Duncan and his team ranges from advisers with 30+ years industry experience to an apprentice who is looking for a long term career in financial services.
